As a member of the baby boomer generation I find that I am becoming more aware of approaching issues affecting that segment of the population.
Something that I’ve been made acutely aware of lately is the need for assisted living for seniors who don’t need daily medical care, but who might not be able to perform a few normal daily activities and therefore are unable to comfortably live alone.
I’ve recently been introduced to a concept that provides a service in a way that is amenable to a large percentage of the folks who need it. It is something that I feel is a viable and pleasant alternative to ‘big box store’ assisted living homes. The terms defining this trend vary, but Residential Assisted Living or RAL is the one I’ve seen most often. Here in Indiana it’s called Residential Care Facility or RCF.
I’m intrigued and interested in learning more about this concept and opportunity to help folks in my area who can benefit from this senior living alternative.
Kathy and I are going to attend a seminar in Phoenix soon and I will have more information to share afterward. Stay tuned!! – Tim
